Emirates

The owner of Emirates airlines is the government of the United Arab Emirates. The company established in October 1985 took its first flight on the Karachi – Bombay route. By the end of July 1987 they have reached Europe, landing on the grounds of the London Gatwick airport. The Emirates first flights within Southeast Asia, took place in the mid-1990s making it to Singapore. Currently the lines fly worldwide, including the Wellington International Airport in New Zealand. The airlines make it to the top in the rankings of the most important intercontinental carriers. The fastest growing and the richest in the World, they certainly owe their success to free access to low cost fuel and business tourism development of the United Arab Emirates.

Luggage

Bring your hand luggage onboard of the Emirates flights. Luggage allowance is determined by the airline baggage policy on different routes and class. Registered Emirates baggage is also due to meet the airline requirements and may vary depending on route and booking class. Baggage fees apply.

Booking classes

Fly Emirates and choose the first, the business or the economy class. The first class equals luxury, providing their passengers with lockable cabins, flat – foldable armchairs and dressing tables, not to mention a spa with shower. Awaiting departure in an exclusive waiting room is fun too. The first class passengers may use the private driver system when they arrive in one of 70 cities worldwide free of charge.

The business class passengers will enjoy similar on-board treatment, with additional cabin work table and a socket built into a chair. A mini bar and on-board lounge is also available for the passangers travelling in both classes of the Emirates airlines.

The customer service takes deep care of the economy class' passengers. WiFi is available to them on selected planes.

Online check-in

All passengers may check-in online from 24 hours up to 90 minutes before scheduled departure.

Fleet

The Emirates airlines are mainly associated with wide-body aircraft which dominates the fleet, however they also use a narrow-body Airbus A319-100CJ to carry VIPs. The Emirates planes are among the youngest of the World. The fleet consists of more than 230 machines including: Airbuses A330-200, A340-300, A340-500, A380-800, Boeings 777-200, 777-200ER, 777-200LR, 777-300, 777- 300ER, 747-400ERF, 777-200F.

The Dubai Airport

The Dubai International Airport is only 13 km away from the city centre, heading north-east. Enjoy gourmet restaurants and cafés serving cuisine from around the World. Go shopping or rent a car – it's all there. A Global Link website and paid Internet kiosks can be used at the airport.

The first class passengers are served world-class cuisine during the Emirates flights. The business class guests are guaranteed equally healthy and delicious choice of dishes along with a free champagne, cocktails and drinks. The dishes in both cases are served on original china with highline cutlery. Visit onboard lounge for snacks, cocktails, spirits as well as non alcoholic hot and cold beverages. Passengers of the economy class may choose from a broad selection of free drinks including spirits, while champagne is offered to them at a reasonable price. The frequent Emirates flyers will be surprised by onboard menu that changes monthly. A special bill of fare for children, vegetarians or with low calories may be requsted. Additional services

The Emirates reviews frequently point out excellent onboard entertainment. Reading World news or watching live sports is at passengers' hand. They can even track the plane's flight status thanks to external cameras or use the onboard WiFi to keep in touch with the more down-to-Earth business. In addition to all that, the passengers are entertained by two thousand channels. Movies, music or games are all up to date and available in various languages.
