Emirates
The owner of Emirates airlines is the government of the United Arab Emirates. The company established in October 1985 took its first flight on the Karachi – Bombay route. By the end of July 1987 they have reached Europe, landing on the grounds of the London Gatwick airport. The Emirates first flights within Southeast Asia, took place in the mid-1990s making it to Singapore. Currently the lines fly worldwide, including the Wellington International Airport in New Zealand. The airlines make it to the top in the rankings of the most important intercontinental carriers. The fastest growing and the richest in the World, they certainly owe their success to free access to low cost fuel and business tourism development of the United Arab Emirates.
