For oversize luggage or more bags it is necessary to pay an additional fee. Depending on the booking class or a membership card the maximum weight limit changes. Qantas has prepared general guidelines for hand luggage: it must be of a size that allows it to be placed under the seat and confirming to the carrier’s guidelines, furthermore, it must not contain dangerous or illegal objects. Hand luggage may contain, among others, prescription drugs and maximum 1 liter of liquor placed in closed transparent bag. Qantas offers 4 booking classes. Economy class travel is a cheap flight where passengers have at their disposal a hospitable Qantas crew in the price of air ticket and also fresh meals, the latest movies and music on board. Passengers of the Premium Economy class have spacious seats and larger legroom. Moreover, they have priority on board and access to extensive menu. In business class, travelers has priority on board, private airport lounges, fold-out seats and dishes prepared by accomplished Chiefs. First class is the highest one in Qantas range. An Australian carrier allows passengers to choose the way of check-in. In addition to the traditional check-in at the Qantas airport, you can check-in online or via mobile app. The app allows you to check-in for all of the domestic flights and selected QantasLink flights. You can check-in in this way no earlier than 24 hours before the flight and no later than 30 minutes before the flight. Whereas, check-in and selection of seats for international flights can be done 24 hours before the flight and no later than 90 minutes before the gates are closed. In case of online check-in for domestic flights you have to do it between 24 hours and 30 minutes before the flight.

Qantas airline offers its regular customers a loyalty program. In order to join it, all you have to do is to fill in an application form on the carrier’s website or exchange Qantas Points for a Qantas Club membership card. Passengers who already have this card can invite their friends to the club at a reduced price. Card owners have a number of benefits, such as access to Qantas lounges at the airport, priority at check-in, larger luggage limit, discount for airport parking and much more.
