      Jerez de la Frontera
Jerez de la Frontera, set in Andalusia in Spain, is a city known for producing sherry and for its horse breeding. It has around 215 thousand inhabitants. Its history goes back to the Phoenician settlement of Xera. It is worth visiting the Baroque Colegiata de San Salvador with works by Zurbaran and a 17th-century crucifix, as well as the Iglesia de San Miguel with its impressive retable. The city also draws motorsport fans thanks to the Circuito Permanente de Jerez. The best time to visit is spring and autumn, when temperatures are mild.
