Foggia
Foggia is a city in southern Italy, in the Apulia region, set on the Tavoliere plain. Home to around 156 thousand people, it is an important transport hub with a railway station. The celebrated composer Umberto Giordano was born in Foggia. The city is twinned with Göppingen in Germany, Pescasseroli in Italy and Wałbrzych in Poland. A Mediterranean climate brings warm summers and mild winters, and the best periods to visit are spring and autumn.
