Getting around Singapore

Use public transport to get around Singapore on the cheap. The Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) subway system and bus links cover the entire city so you will be able to quickly get from one point to another. There are numerous attractions within a walking distance from MRT stations so fix yourself up with a street map available free of charge at one of many visitors centers and explore them on foot. If you are going to travel light, you can use the MRT to get from the airport to the city. Consider purchasing a Singapore Tourist Pass (STP) instead of single journey tickets (S$1.40 to S$2.50).
