General review

The airport itself was ok. One member of staff, a foreign lady, was very cheeky and rude. She attempted to close the flight gate, even though her colleague was in the middle of helping us board. There was an issue with my daughter’s passport, so the girl helping us wanted to check we were ok to proceed. We had already been cleared through security, when the rude Ryanair woman at the flight was determined to stop us from boarding. On that basis, I will not be flying with Ryanair in the future.

Information

Dublin International Airport is the busiest airport in Ireland and one of the ten busiest airports in Europe. Handles over 60,000 passengers a day, reaching up to 80,000 in the season and manages the movement of 600 aircrafts per day. The port is located 10 km north of the centre of the country's capital, near the M50 and M1 motorways. Its official opening took place in January 1940. Nearly 50 airlines fly from the airport. The airport is the main air base for Aer Lingus, which is the national carrier of Ireland and for Ryanair, the largest low-fare operator in Europe.
The port of Dublin checked-in over 25 million passengers in 2015.
