Virgin Australia airlines with code IATA VA was established in 2000. Initially it was known as Virgin Blue. It began to provide services with one route between Brisbane and Sydney, when it had two machines and a team of 200 people at its disposal. Already one year later it expanded its offer to 14 routes in Australia and in June of 2001, it could boast a million passengers carried. Since then, the company has also expanded its offer with international flights and in 2011 changed its name to Virgin Australia.
