All passengers flying on FlySafair are entitled to free 7kg hand luggage, which may not be larger than 56 x 36 x 23cm. Furthermore, it must fit into the overhead compartment, otherwise a checked baggage fee will be collected. Those who need to bring more, can purchase up to 2 bags weighing 20kg each. No item can measure more than 90 x 75 x 43cm. The first bag costs R155 when booked online or R250 when added at the airport. A fee for another bag is R250. Purchasing baggage online can save a great deal of money. For bags heavier than 20kg an excess luggage fee of R250 per piece will apply. Luggage exceeding 32kg will be transported as cargo. Dangerous itemss, such as flammable goods, poisons, gas cylinders, corrosives, infectious substances, firearms, and explosives will not be allowed on board. Pen knives, nail clippers, scissors, sewing kits, sports equipment, non-flammable aerosol sprays, and alcohol can only be transported as checked baggage.

FlySafair offers three fares: Lite, Standard, and Premium. Lite passengers are only allowed 7kg hand baggage free of charge. The standard fare additionally comes with a 20kg checked bag, whereas premium fares travelers can bring two bags up to 23kg and one piece of special equipment, such as sports, musical, or photographic equipment. Premium passengers can make unlimited changes to their booking and it is always free of charge, while standard fare customers can do it twice, and lite customers will be charged a fee of R300. Priority boarding is included both in standard and premium tickets. Seat selection and free cancelation is free when flying on the premium fare.
